Working on the Laundry room

Purchased 2 valences, one for the door and one for across the door (shelf).

CARDS
My Mom has been getting chemo two weeks on and a week off for the last year and a half.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in October of 2011.
I never saw someone who faced with such news, has been nothing but positive.
I think her attitude of not giving up helps her to beat the odds.
When she arrives at the Chemo center all the nurses call her Aunt Terry and come to greet her. I think she actually likes going to there. There was the fear of the first treatment or two, fear of the unknown. She goes with positive feelings of this treatment will hold the cancer. (it has)
When the patients go there they are spending hours if not the day. I know it gets boring. We gave them an Ipad to take with them so my dad can play games and she can play scrabble to pass the time.
I was thinking of things to do to help the other patients pass the time so I put out there to some crafty friends an offer to make some cards, blank inside. I am going to take in a basket so while people are waiting for their treatment they can send notes or thank you cards. Something to help pass the time.
I will put stamps on all the envelopes and they can even mail them right from hospital and not have to worry about getting to the post office for stamps or to mail it.
I am so excited by the response I have had with friends willing to help make cards to donate to the chemo center.
I will get started on mine this afternoon. Pictures to come.....
